We at Cordero are pleased to announce that we are one of the 12 finalists in the Sustainability STEAM Challenge Flag Design Contest! The Jersey City Public Schools in partnership with the Office of Sustainability of Jersey City has a district-wide STEAM project focused on Climate Action! Our Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students have taken on the challenge to create a design to bring awareness to concerns surrounding climate change.
The winning design will be displayed on a flag that will fly over City Hall, the school that the winning student attends, and the Jersey City Schools' central office.

Class of 2020 students will receive a formal letter regarding refunds and preliminary procedures for Moving On Ceremony this Friday. Please check your email and phones to ensure you receive the robocall.
The application for Extended School Year for students with autism is available. There is a PDF linked on the Sunday Digest which you can fill out, save and email to your child's case manager. Or, you can print it, fill it out by hand, take a picture and email that to the case manager. Either way, please ensure that you get it to them no later than May 26.

Extended School Year for Students with Autism
Attached is a message from the Special Education Department:
"Dear Parents:
Due to the Covid-19 Corona Virus health crisis, the Department of Special Education would like to announce the Achievement…Independence…Motivating…Students with Disabilities (A.I.M.S) ESY Program is planning to go virtual. The program is scheduled to commence on July 1, 2020, and will conclude on July 30, 2020. We are planning to hold all classes and activities virtually using the ZOOM platform during the hours of 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on the days of Monday through Thursday (ONLY)."

Mr. Gomez's World Language Classroom Details
Dear parents and students.
It is an honor to serve you and we hope you are safe and secure upon receipt of this email. The purpose is to inform, thank and congratulate the vast majority of students who already do their activities at vhlcentral.com
In Google Classroom there are instructions for the activities of each week, supported by videos that show how to do them on the vhlcentral.com platform (all the time they are available). Students who cannot do the activities on vhlcentral.com, will be able to do them in the editable worksheets of Google Classroom, it is not necessary to print. Each week is assigned the corresponding period. Invitations to Zoom meetings are in Google Classroom with the following interval:
Wednesday Grade 3: 9:00 am, 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.
Thursday Grade 4: 9:00 am, 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.
Friday Grade 5: 9:00 am, 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.
