Sunday Digest 10.20.19

  • Our 10th Annual Strynar Fun Run will take place on Wednesday, October 23rd. Pledge sheets were distributed on Friday. Please make every effort to fundraise as much as possible. All funds go to student activities at Cordero including the Washington D.C. Trip. Top fundraisers will receive prizes and special recognition. We will need a significant amount of volunteers. A signup is available on the Cordero Sunday Digest Blog.
  • We would like to thank all of our supporters for the Fun Run including British Swim School who donated a portion of the t-shirts for students this year. To begin our run this year, we will have a representative from the British Swim School as well as Mr. Silverman, central office staff and local representatives. The Fun Run kicks off at 9:15 at the gazebo in Hamilton Park. Run routes are available on the Sunday Digest Blog. See you then.
  • Teachers will be handing out fun run t-shirts to all students on Wednesday (10/23/19) for our Annual Strynar Fun Run.  Students may also re-wear their t-shirts on Friday (10/25/19) if they wish.
  • On October 30th, Zolnier Class Rings will be coming to measure the 8th graders for their ring sizes.  The cost of the ring is $50 (cash or money order ONLY). Payment MUST be presented upon being measured.  The color of the ring is Fire Blue Spinel. The engraving is included up to three initials. Please contact Ms. Contey for further questions.
  • For October 31st, your child may wear a costume to school. There is a Halloween Letter explaining the rules that was given out last week. Our parade will continue its normal route. The parade will begin at 9:30 and include students from Pre-K to Grade 5.
  • Please be advised that school will be closed for all students from Tuesday, November 5 to Monday, November 11 in observance of Election Day, the NJEA Conferences and Veterans Day. November Calendar Preview.

    Reminders:

    • If you are new to our community, please sign up for emails by filling out this form. Please also provide your email to the main office so they can ensure it is on Infinite Campus.
    • Parents that use strollers to transport children, please be advised that we need to keep our entry doors clear. Strollers have contributed to a traffic jam on our sidewalks and this disrupts the safe passage of our teachers and students. Please be mindful of where you are stopping with your strollers. Additionally, please remember that one of the key skills for our younger students is learning how to walk to school independently. If you have the time, please make the time to help your children grow.
