Sunday Digest 12.01.19

Sunday 12/1/19

  • As the onset of winter weather comes, it is important to remember that we will open our entrance on Erie and Pavonia at 8:15 when temperatures are below freezing, there is rain/snow or sleet. Students can walk in at that time to the cafeteria to await entry. Students cannot be escorted to the cafeteria by parents, but will be supervised by staff.
  • Our book fair has been extended until Monday December 2, 2019! Don't forget to make your purchases and support our school!
  • Our classes have begun with a Curriculum-based Holiday Door Decorating Contest. Classes have until the 10th to complete their creations. Class parents feel free to assist teachers and students.
  • Important Change: Grade 5 students will not go on a field trip tomorrow due to the weather. The trip will be rescheduled for later in the year. 5th grade teachers will keep you posted.

  • Our annual PTA Holiday Shop is back and in need of volunteers! Sign up for a morning shift at http://bit.ly/holidayshopvolunteers.
Reminders:
  • If you are new to our community, please sign up for emails by filling out this form. Please also provide your email to the main office so they can ensure it is on Infinite Campus.
  • Parents that use strollers to transport children, please be advised that we need to keep our entry doors clear. Strollers have contributed to a traffic jam on our sidewalks and this disrupts the safe passage of our teachers and students. Please be mindful of where you are stopping with your strollers. Additionally, please remember that one of the key skills for our younger students is learning how to walk to school independently. If you have the time, please make the time to help your children grow.
